NTT DoCoMo to Roll Out Fastest HSDPA Handsets in 2006

Japanese NTT DoCoMo plans to roll out a HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) handset with a transmission rate up to 3.6MB per second in mid-2006, much faster than the current 2.4MB/second speed offered by KDDI. In response to Vodafone and other companies' plans to launch HSDPA handsets in 2006, NTT DoCoMo is likely to offer the handset at a more competitive price.
